My Story: From my early career in finance, I’ve been passionate about helping people navigate the complexities of mortgages and insurance. When the opportunity arose to create a business that prioritises a client-centred approach to these critical financial decisions, Greenshoots Financial in Bathgate was born. My goal has always been to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through tailored financial solutions. As a CeMAP-qualified team registered with the FCA, we uphold the highest professional standards to give you confidence in every decision. Life Outside Work: After a busy week, I recharge by spending quality time with family and friends - and, of course, plenty of cuddles with Betsy and Ben, our beloved office dogs. A well-balanced life fuels productivity and happiness, so I try to make a conscious effort to step back, relax, and return each week refreshed. It doesn't always work, but it’s a simple but essential reminder for us all!

My Story: I’ve worn many hats - Royal Navy, media, beauty, travel and more. Each one taught me what makes people and businesses tick. Now at Greenshoots Financial, I bring it all together as a Protection Adviser, specialising in health, life and critical illness cover, while also keeping our operations and marketing on track. Why Greenshoots Financial?: Greenshoots was born over coffee with Donna years ago - I even came up with the name. We wanted a brokerage that felt approachable, experienced and genuine. What started as leading our marketing naturally grew into running operations and, over time, stepping into advice myself. It felt like the next step - using what I’d learned to guide people more directly. Life Outside Work: If I’m not working, I’m outside - usually in the garden or out with my dog (who’s 100% convinced the world revolves around him).

My Story: Stepping foot into the financial industry in 1980, my journey has been packed with experiences and learnings. I had 21 years with Prudential, delving into pensions and investments, general insurance, mortgages, and all protection needs such as life, critical, and income protection. My passion for clients' well-being led me to win numerous awards. Joining Greenshoots Financial opened a new chapter in my career, allowing me to continue helping clients realise their dreams. Our team's human touch distinguishes us, and we are a 'people organisation' committed to assisting our clients in achieving their aspirations. Life Outside Work: Away from the bustles of work, spending time with my grandchildren keeps me energised. I love being part of their lives as much as possible and cherish the joy of family life. Additionally, with a keen interest in football, I actively support teams and local football club Fauldhouse - participating in various charities is something close to my heart. ​Colin has now retired but is still very much part of the Greenshoots Family.
